ABU Podcast #31 June 2013

So here is the ABU Podcast for June 2013 and it's number 31 for all the collectors out there!
Listen to it right here or right-click and save it for later.
Tracklisting as ever, is in the Comments below.

The live Disco Scratch shows are now over for the summer but there are plenty of Takeover shows to come in the meantime. This Thursday (4th July) is the very welcome return of Warz. If you heard his initial Takeover recently then this needs no introduction. All you need to know is that this boy knows his stuff and is a fiend on the edits - my kinda style!
The following week (11th July) sees LG in the mix. He had a really great Library Breaks & Beats show last time so really looking forward to anything he provides.
Then after that I will be doing a live show (18th) and who knows what happens in the coming weeks..... we shall have to wait and see.

  2. Excellent work sir, as usual a nice mix of old and slightly less old; great to hear Freelance (one of my favourites from The Source LP) and Just Havin' Fun, Toast was rather enjoyable too.

However, one thing WAS NOT enjoyable. For the past week I have been trying to work out what the piece of music is at the very start of the show. Wine-tasting Ramses has given it a swirl and sensed some 80s top notes and a fruity video-themed bouquet; he has then hurled the glass to the floor in anger. Guild? Cannon? I JUST DON'T KNOW. So thanks for that.

  3. I always look forward to the monthly Ramses Review and I am practically rubbing my hands with glee at the fact that I have temporarily stumped you with the VHS indent.
    Hmmm, I took it from.......

[look away if you want to keep searching yourself]

    a CBS-Fox video.
BAMMM! I'm sure you would've got it eventually.
I had to check again myself because I was sure it was the old 1980's Channel 5 vhs ident, oops.

I am doing a 'live' podcast this month (closed for the summer and all that) instead of creating a pre-record. I'm aiming to have some Trunk stuff on there that you may enjoy.
Yeah that 'Source' LP was actually alright now that I've revisited all these years later.

  4. CBS Fox! But of course! (Thinks back longingly to that old Tales From the Crypt/Vault of Horror double bill, and to a lesser extent The Bedroom Window with Steve Guttenberg). Choon!

Hey, this is REPO! While I love to see your comments, if you leave one under ANON why not put your real or chosen name at the end of the message?

Peace.
