Track Of The Day # 7 Krush Style
This is a little obscure track from the obscure label, Sound Makers.
From 1986 is today's track of the day, namely Krush Style by JD Krush. It's little known but is a real heavy, crushing drum machine smash of a tune.
Sound Makers only released 4 songs which was the aforemoentioned Krush Style, Just Having Fun by Doug E Fresh, Doin The Cos by Greg G & T Money and the Cash Money track Scratchin´ To The Funk by Doctor Funnkenstein.
Listen to the track below and download it here.

Thanks for that great track. I'd never heard of this before but they are mentioned and pictured in Freddy Fresh's book. Thanks, great work.
Wicked tune! Been outbid on this little fella a few times on eBay. Like you say the drum programming is murderous, also love the way the scratching comes in after the rapping is over. "Rapping Insane" was another nice track by JD Krush. Not as nice as this one though!
@Diamon - I just had a flick-thru of Freddy's book but there were no stars given to this. However for Scratchin To The Funk -which I have- he's given 5 stars so I'm happy.
@Ramses - I've not heard JD's other track. Is it similar? I first heard this during one of Mike's shows and had been after it ever since. Luckily it turned up in my local 2nd-hand record shop one day in the early 90's. I won't say how much as it'll make you cry ;)
^ Yeah, bargains are never as much fun when they happen to someone else! You might recognise Rapping Insane if you heard it, Mike certainly played it a few times. It featured the Pink Panther theme and came out in late '85.
My homeboy Duce has got this on 12, we used the drums from this back in 1991 for a jingle for the radio station I was on at the time...damn man this represents proper hip hop to me, the drums are fucking FIRE, his rhymes are bad boy and the scratching sends shivers up my spine, I'm also looking for the 12 of this, I have the other JD 12 rappin insane but this is the one! Yo Benzinoid DAMN you must be reading my brainwaves!!!! You sure we weren't separated at birth? Maximum respect!
found this in nova scotia canada in 1995 very dope rappin insane is real dope also. good job!
Found this on a Strictly Bizness comp years ago, always liked it. Nick the Record had a couple of 12"s for sale but never ever got round to picking them up.
