The WARZ Takeover Show on Disco Scratch Radio

Last night was a very special listening experience from a new contender to the 'Takeover' shows as heard on Disco Scratch Radio.
The man WARZ straight outta Style Warriorz Revenge blog got a chance to show his skills and he did not disappoint. After an amazing intro the rest of the show kept up the same brilliance displaying new and old tracks, comedy skits and some rather fancy scratchy-record tricks.
You can tell just how much time had gone into the finished product as this was a lesson in pure audio professionalism. It reminded me of the Coldcut mix cd 'Journeys By....' which was an epic adventure into sound.
In short you NEED to listen to this.

Thanks for the wicked write up, Reepz.

Comparing it to Coldcuts 'Journeys' mix is quite the compliment, because that mix was a major influence on me and made me think differently about what a mix should be.

I try to bring in elements that the average head wouldn't think about using, like the Beats International track for instance.

I'll have to see if I can top it in part two.
Laterz.

When it comes to hip hop DJ's I'm wicked picky in what I like.

Two reasons why this Dj and the mix is so nice............

1 - Quality cuts. You sprinkle in some known songs with songs that are very deep and rarely played. You go so rare that you're playing C side tracks!

2 - You let the songs play through and not cut out after a minute or so.

Hot, HOt, HOT! Mix!
